Even the wisest, most ancient of gentle spirits can be bent to violence by savage, unrelenting war.
Durthu is an Elder of Athel Loren, a Treeman so ancient that even Ariel's millennia-long existence pales in comparison. It was he who first forged a union between Elves and forest, and who argued with his fellow Elders that the binding be made permanent. In those days, he was ever a friend to the Children of Isha, always willing to help them broaden their understanding of forest and Weave. Alas, those days are long gone. Centuries of destruction and carnage have taken their toll on Durthu's valiant spirit. He bore witness to the rapacity of blooded life, and of the wanton destruction it has heaped upon his homeland. He has seen untold acres of trees felled for kindling or from simple spite. He has watched, time and again, as the Elves have invited calamity on the forest through an inability to sever their connection to the outside world. Worst of all, he has seen his fellow Elders fall, one by one; some slain by their own foes but most destroyed by the enemies of the Elves.

|Charge Defence vs. Large||When bracing, this unit negates the charge bonus of any large attacker.|
|Encourage||This unit provides a leadership bonus to nearby allies. Units within range of both the Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.|

|Blessing of the Ancients||
The magical power permeating the forests is bestowed upon those who defend it.
|Lamentation of Despair||
The vines and foliage manifest their rage, bursting forth to entangle and debilitate the foe.
There are those who wish nothing more than to be at the heart of battle, seeking foes to vanquish.
Some warriors care not for their own personal safety and so work themselves into a whirlwind of destruction and mindless violence!
Amber is the colour of beasts. Such magic can ensnare and entrap animals much more easily than so-called "intelligent" species.
|Flock of Doom||
With a mighty bellow, the spellcaster invokes Corvus the Crow Lord, summoning his servants to peck at the foe's eyes.
|Pann's Impenetrable Pelt||
Calling upon the beast-spirits of the wild, the caster sheathes vulnerable flesh in unyielding fur and hide.
|The Amber Spear||
Sounding a gnarled horn, the caster summons a glowing amber spear and hurls it at the foe with uncanny accuracy.
|The Curse of Anraheir||
At the spellcaster's command, nebulous nature spirits assail the foe, clawing with hands not nearly as insubstantial as they first appear.
|Transformation of Kadon||
Kadon was able to shift his shape to that of any monster, even a Manticore. One day he found he could not change back...
The spellcaster unleashes the beast within, using its fury to transform allies into bestial forms.
